Asprovalta Campsite is 2 km. from the Nigrita wildlife refuge, 7 km. from the Koroneia-Volvi Lakes Wetlands National Park, 54 km. from the Protected Aesthetic Forests of Kavala and 20 km. from the Archaeological Site and Museum of Ancient Amphipolis.

Asprovalta and the wider area (Stavros, Nea Vrasna beach, etc.) are important tourist resorts in the Strymonikos Gulf area, and welcome thousands of visitors from Greece, Europe and the neighbouring Balkan countries during the summer season. It is a magnet for tourists from northern Greece, especially from Thessaloniki and Serres, but also for tourists from the Balkan countries and Europe.
